SFAMSC Nutrition Month Celebration Grades 4 to 6 SY 2015-2016
National Nutrition Month’s purpose is to raise awareness among students the importance of right nutrition and to live a healthy lifestyle. This year’s theme is maintaining a healthy weight by eating right with enough exercise. The Grades 4-6 students start the day with a fun dance activity to remind them that exercise is not only good for you, but it is also fun! After that, they head to their classroom to make a colorful fruit bouquet which they eat afterward! This activity teaches them proper food preparation and creates an appreciation of delicious fruits that are a much healthier substitute for junk foods like candies and chocolate bars.
