Scouting 2015 Outdoor Cooking
One of the fundamental skill in scouting is cooking your own food outdoor. Building a fire to cook food may seem like a simple task, but it is challenging work. As part of the scouting activity, students from grades 4 to 10 are given the task to cook and prepare their breakfast and lunch for their whole patrol. This seemingly mundane activity teaches them not only how to cook outdoors but also the essentials of teamwork, cleanliness, and proper planning.
